Neues Software Release – WatchGuard XCS 10.1 Update 3

WatchGuard is pleased to announce the release of WatchGuard XCS 10.1 Update 3

This release provides these new features and enhancements.

• Content Scanning Engine Upgraded: The Content Scanning engine is upgraded to support more file formats
• Medium Grade Ciphers for TLS and Web Server Connections: The use of medium-grade encryption ciphers for SSL/TLS encrypted mail connections and user and administrator web server sessions is now configurable.
• Brightmail Updates: This update includes the previously released Brightmail Hotfix that resolves an issue with Brightmail where the Brightmail Conduit stopped updating pattern files.
• NTP vulnerabilities in OpenSSL: his update also resolves NTP vulnerabilities identified by security advisories FreeBSD-SA-16:24.ntp, FreeBSD-SA-16:29.ntp, and fixes previously released in OpenSSL hotfixes.

Does This Release Pertain to Me?

XCS 10.1 Update 3 is a maintenance release that contains a number of enhancements and bug fixes, including security fixes. Because of the security updates, it is strongly advised that users install the update.

How Do I Get the Release?

Your XCS appliance will automatically download the XCS 10.1 Update 3 software. However, it will NOT automatically install the update. You must manually install software updates by going to Administration => Software Updates => Updates. You can also manually download the update from the WatchGuard Software Downloads page at https://software.watchguard.com , select “XCS and QMS Devices”. The Update and Release notes are available for both XCS hardware and XCSv virtual models.
