Durch den ersten Scan bereits auf dem Internet-Gateway k\u00f6nnen Viren schon erkannt werden, bevor sie \u00fcberhaupt ins lokale Netzwerk gelangen k\u00f6nnen. Die verwendete Antivirus Engine und die Antivirus Signaturen stammen\u00a0von dem Hersteller <strong>Bitdefender<\/strong>. Gesch\u00fctzt werden Verbindungen, die \u00fcber <strong>Application Proxy<\/strong> Firewallregeln f\u00fcr\u00a0<strong>HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, POP3<\/strong> und\u00a0<strong>SMTP<\/strong> laufen. Webseiten und Downloads werden beim Surfen in Echtzeit auf Viren untersucht und auch eingehende E-Mails werden entsprechend ges\u00e4ubert oder blockiert. Jede Stunde\u00a0erfolgt die \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung auf neue Signaturen, die bei Verf\u00fcgbarkeit auch automatisch heruntergeladen und angewendet werden.<\/p>\n<pre><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1468 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.boc.de\/watchguard-info-portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/emblem-imp.gif\" alt=\"emblem-imp\" width=\"48\" height=\"48\" \/>Mit <strong>WatchGuard Gateway Antivirus<\/strong> l\u00e4sst sich sehr einfach eine zweistufige Antivirus-Strategie umsetzen, so wie sie z.B. vom BSI (Bundesamt f\u00fcr Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik) empfohlen wird! Weil auf dem Internet-Gateway Technologie von <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><b>Bitdefender <\/b><\/span>l\u00e4uft, <span style=\"color: red;\"><strong>ACHTUNG: siehe Hinweis weiter unten<\/strong><\/span> sollte auf den Arbeitsplatz-PCs und den Servern <strong>zus\u00e4tzlich<\/strong> Antivirus-Technologie eines anderen Herstellers verwendet werden (z.B. Symantec, Trend Micro, McAfee, Kaspersky, Sophos, F-Secure, Avira, G-Data etc.).\r\n\u00a0\r\nWatchGuard Gateway Antivirus ersetzt <strong>KEINESFALLS<\/strong> einen lokalen Antivirus-Schutz innerhalb Ihres Netzwerks!<\/pre>\n<pre><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1468 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.boc.de\/watchguard-info-portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/emblem-imp.gif\" alt=\"emblem-imp\" width=\"48\" height=\"48\" \/>Seit der Softwareversion Fireware XTM 12.x (Release 2017) werden automatisch die Engine und Signaturen von <strong>BitDefender <\/strong>verwendet. Zuvor wurde die Antivirus Engine und die Virensignaturen des Herstellers <strong>AVG <\/strong>verwendet, f\u00fcr die seit dem 15.01.2018 keine Signatur-Updates mehr bereitgestellt werden. Daher sollte seit diesem Datum unbedingt ein Umstieg auf eine der neuen Softwareversionen Fireware XTM 12.x erfolgt sein!<\/pre>\n<h3>Logging und Reporting<\/h3>\n<p>Das Logging und Reporting erfolgt \u00fcber den schon mit dem Basisprodukt kostenfrei zur Verf\u00fcgung gestellten <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boc.de\/watchguard-info-portal\/produktinfos\/watchguard-dimension\/\">WatchGuard Dimension Server<\/a> oder \u00fcber die \u00e4lteren Windows-basierten Logging- und Reporting-Dienste, die Bestandteil der WatchGuard System Manager Software sind. Die Log-Eintr\u00e4ge und Statistiken k\u00f6nnen \u00fcber diese Plattformen gesichtet und ausgewertet werden.<\/p>\n<h3>Lizensierung<\/h3>\n<p>WatchGuard Gateway Antivirus ist ein optionaler Security Service. Er ist Bestandteil der <strong>WatchGuard Basic Security Suite<\/strong> und der <strong>WatchGuard Total Security Suite<\/strong>.
